World War I

World war one started when a Serbian man shot Franz Ferdinand ( A.K.A the emperor of Austria- Hungary).  Austria-Hungary declared war on Serbia on July 28, 1914.  The Hungarians wanted to invade serbia.  They did.  Serbia asked the Axis powers to help them.  Thus,  Causing Germany to step out and say “Yes”.  Through 1914 to 1917 the French and the Germans dug trenches.  The middle in between the two trenches was called No Man’s Land.  At the end of 1918, a peace was finally agreed upon. Fighting was set to end on November 11, 1918.
