More space in classrooms
We need alot more space in classrooms because some classrooms they need to expand them for we don't feel like you aren't smooch. With more space in a classroom you can do more things like if you have conformable seating like rockers and more pillows and more yoga balls just more things you can put in your classroom when you have more space in a classroom.
Flexible Seating
Flexible seating is a great way for students to find somewhere that works for them and where they can focus and learn! Flexible seating allows us students to pick where we sit everyday! We can try something, and the next day we might try something else and figure out what works best for us! Flexible seating is also a way to make us students feel comfortable where we work! And Instead of having just desks we have pillows, bean bags, wobble seats, etc.! In the end I believe more classrooms should have flexible seating at Tiffany Ridge!

The Pod!
So the pod is somewhere where you can have a quiet place to work. Also you can work with others in a group and have fun. But when teachers look out of the door you have to be on your best behaviour and be working your best. But when you are doing the opposite of that your teacher is going to get mad and you are going to lose prefliges. And you are not going to be able to sit in the pod any more.

Candy thats bad for your teeth
Candy may be delicious but do you know what it can cause?
Chewy candy is bad for your teeth because they stick to your teeth and the acid dissolves tooth enamel & causes cavities
2.hard candies can be bad because stuff like lollipops and jolly ranchers make it difficult for your saliva to do its job therefore it stays in your mouth longer causing the acid to build up in your mouth
3. Sour candies both have sugar & acid
After hearing all of this I'd recommend you to brush after eating candy especially after eating any of the candies listed up here

I think that ms.Griffith and mrs.natzke should have a therapy dog. It is actually a really good Idea! Because if someone got in trouble or needed to take a break, then they could go to Mrs.Natzke's room and calm down. Then they could go back to their class when they are ready. That way nobody has any stress or are in a bad mood for the whole day.

Heart Cookie Troubles
Hello Izz here, I'm about to tell you about the Heart Cookie troubles in room 228! It all started on the day Isabel came back from Germany. She brought in with her a big cookie shape like a heart. It was about the size of a yoga ball! There was red icing along the edges with flowers all around the inside, and in the very middle in german was the word Oktoberfest. Mrs.VanHorn came up to Isabel and asked her what was in the bag she responded, it is the Heart Cookie I brought from Germany! Mrs.VanHorn told Isabel to put the Heart Cookie behind her desk.
Later that day Mrs.VanHorn told Isabel to start passing out napkins. Once everyone got a napkin Isabel went to her locker and got out the pizza cutter. Then she went up to Mrs.VanHorn and gave it to her. Mrs.VanHorn said thank you and started unwrapping the plastic on the cookie. When Mrs.VanHorn finished unwrapping the cookie she mentally divided it up into 22 equal parts. Well somewhat equal anyway this is where the real trouble began. Mrs.VanHorn placed the pizza cutter on top of the cookie where she was starting to cut. She pushed down but the pizza cutter wouldn't go in. She tried harder, it would still not go in. She tried one more time, this time she jumped and pushed down on the pizza cutter. Mrs.Vanhorn opened her eyes and the pizza cutter was in the cookie. She turned to Isabel and said yes, while she pumped her fist in the air. She started pull back hard, then harder. Finally it went through just a smig! After Mrs.VanHorn got half way through the first cut of the Heart Cookie she decided to turn over the Heart Cookie and brake it in half. *Crack...Creak...SNAP!* The Heart Cookie immediately cracked in half. And that's how the story goes; Mrs.VanHorn pushing down on the pizza cutter, then turning it over *Crack...Creak...SNAP!*

Choir students
Students at Tiffany Ridge who are in Choir, are really lucky! If you are a Tiffany Ridge student, you have seen their latest musical, Broadway Beat. You might not know, but that was the last time they were gonna be standing up on the stage, singing. Except for Choir! Choir gets to sing for many people. One place they get to sing in is, the Nursing Home. I think the Nursing Home loves their songs the Choir sang last year!
Also, they sing in Gerner Early Education Center. My baby brother attends that school, so I am really excited, since i'm in Choir.
The one I think is best, is the final one, which I believe is located the high school. But i'm not sure if that's the location. They sing beautifully there. I know because last year, my sister, Hemna, performed there.
If you are not in fifth grade, I hope you attend Choir when you get into fifth grade.

my Article is about whats happening around the world, and right know i think bulling other people is bad because those people that have been bulled have been hurting them selves, and that is really dangers, also places near water have been hit by hurricanes and did you know that if that keeps happening people will be hurt and lives will be gone and that people will have no food or water or homes to live in and not that many people have been helping them at all and that just so sad, so what can WE do to help those from hurricanes and to help those that are injured
Homelessness
In the world there is a problem almost everyone faces. And that is homelessness. In this newspaper article you will find out about homelessness.
Homelessness can happen in different ways. Like, if they do not have a job to make money they can not afford to pay the rent. That is one way. Another way is there could be a hurricane. Like right now there was 2 hurricane and a lot of people could be homeless right now and you wouldn't even know it!
There is a question some people ask, I even ask sometimes. How can you tell if someone is homeless? The way you can tell is by the way they look. For example, someone could have a different outfit everyday. Like the Sheridans by Hobby Lobby. There is this lady there EVERYDAY! And she has a different outfit everyday. Unlike her, an actual homeless person would have almost the same outfit every single day. They also wouldn't have a nice bag.
Homeless people have tough lives. They don't have nice stuff like you and me, they don't have a bed like you and me, and they don't have a home like you and me. I know I'm not homeless. But I know the feeling. Just imagine, all alone, no one with you, in the cold, with no food nor water, no money, on a bench/ floor. You're probably thinking
" Wow, thats terrible. But just think about it. You have something homeless people dream of. YOu have a home, food/water, and you have warmth. These people don't. All they have is a bench and that's it!
A way we can help is by giving someone homeless food
( Not money just incase ) because someone who is really homeless will be grateful for it.

People need to know about the school is that we do a lot of fun things here at Tiffany Ridge. Here at Tiffany Ridge they do a lot of cool things. For example, they have this attractive that is called a cardboard box challenge. It is wear they make all different thing all out of cardboard. Have you ever seen any of this before. They also at the end of the school year they do this thing called field day. They do on that day is that they do all this fun stuff. The most fun thing they do on that day is the water things. I think that the Park hill School District should know about........
Bullying. We should make a "Help Conquer Bullying" club. We would have two kids be buddies every week, so then they would meet on Fridays, at 7:30, and what they would do is talk about how their week went if they had any problems, then they would make these posters that talk about the club and remind everybody that is is not right to Bully each other. Of course they wouldn't make posters every week they they would do it in every 2 weeks. I think we should do this club in any park hill school district, and we would have a staff meeting to figure out who would want to sign up!

Also hurricanes keep coming and homes are gone and destroyed homes gone, people gone and family's are living in the streets with no home no food or water, and not that many people are helping those poor people . so maybe we could open a sanctuary to keep those people safe away from the hurricanes that have been taking away the home.
football is a sport you can play for fun and its also a job and you can make a great deal of money if you play football. and you will become so famous. but make sure you practice before you join the NFL so you can be good and never lose. and you could play for fun witch the NFL is not just a job people join the NFL not for the money or to be famous but the majority of people join the NFL or kids who play football as a sport but they dont make money from it hey do it for fun just like NFL players most of the NFL players join for fun they dont play because of the money or to be famous they do it for fun and i hope you join NFL football just for fun.

For this Halloween party I didn’t bring a costume because I forgot, but Mrs.Van Horn got some extra costume pieces. I got a hat and a scarf, Antionette got a hula skirt. When Mrs.Van Horn came out with that hula shirt for Antionette I just about died, We had a parade too. Apparently i was a spy and Antoinette was a ermmm… a swamp monster. When the parade was over Antionette instantly took the hula skirt off. So, if you saw a hula girl, you now know who it was.

The Halloween Party
So every year at Tiffany Ridge we have a halloween party and parade. When we went to the parade there were so many cool costumes and really funny and unique. After the parade we went to the classroom and had a miniature party. First we did these goodie bags for Ronald McDonald house for kids that are sick. And we filled them with pretzels granola bars and peanuts. It was so fun. Next we ate some ice cream sundaes, they were really yummy. Then we had a dance party and we danced to the monster mash song. It was so fun the rest of the time we just talked.

The Parade

I was walking and High-Fiving kids as I said encouraging words. I felt like the king of the world. I noticed one kid in the 2nd grade was dressed up in a cancer shirt. I was so lost when I saw him walking with his class. Then, I realized Oh he must have someone in his family that has cancer. I felt really bad for him. I reached out and said to him,
“I am sorry” To my surprise, He actually answered back to me.
“It’s OK, Everyone can’t be perfect”
After that whole thing, We carried on with the parade. So many people were cheering and laughing. After we were done walking around the halls we met up in the gym. We waited for what seemed like forever. When my legs were getting tired from standing, They called us to be dismissed back to our classrooms. I have never been in a parade before until today.

Halloween to me is stupid.Because it is scary and an evil holiday. Except for the free candy part. Candy is very delicious. That is the very reason why I HATE halloween! The candy is delicious, but it is so scary and I get scared easy. It sucks because I hate being scared. And I get really embarrassed. That is my opinion about halloween.

Today was the Halloween party! People dressed up in many creative costumes. There were witches, princesses, donuts, ninja turtles, and many other cool things. We did lots of things during the Halloween party. We started with the snacks. There choices were Cheese balls, Cupcakes, and best of all, Ice cream! This was your summary of today's date, Oct. 20.

Today was a very eventful day at Tiffany Ridge Elementary. At their specials time, they went onto the field and had a "fun run", which consisted of the kids running laps, and marking them on their arm. Then, at 1:30, they changed into their Halloween costumes. They then walked around the school, then headed to their classroom, and had snacks. Mrs. Evans class had Ice Cream, Cheese Balls and Cupcakes. Then they made snack bags for the Ronald McDonald house in KC, the Wylie house. After that, they had a Minute To Win It cup stacking competition. That was all in one day, so the kids were really hyped.

I am Sorry! L Sherrick is not here. This is Baby L Sherrick! Just kidding but I did dress up as a baby. Basically I had my hair in pigtails (Two side ponytails) I had a baby blanket and a stuffed polar bear, I was also wearing footie pajamas. I LOVE footie pajamas. Tiffany Ridge Halloween Event
As many know, the tiffany ridge halloween parade is today! Many student will be putting on their best most amazing costumes! So be on the lookout for Tacos, Grim reapers,mermaids, superheroes, and much more!

Fun Run
Today students in Tiffany Ridge participated in the Fun Run! The Fun Run is a time for students to get active, and of course, run! Students picked their partners, then began running. The person who was running had a marker, and when they ran a whole lap, they marked a tally mark on their hand. They and their partner took turns running. By the time some people came back from running 5-6 laps, they were breath taken! Some of the students faces looked as red as a Tomato. I bet the students at Tiffany Ridge had a great time at today's activity, the Fun Run.

The LGBTQ Community
The LGBTQ community is just like any other community. Like the female community or the male community. LGBTQ stands for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Questioning or queer. Even tho the LGBTQ community is just like any other community the people in the community are not treated with some to no respect. Many people in the community do not listen to the people who are against them. Even tho a lot of the time they are not affected by the mens words and actions does not mean it is okay to do so. I myself am not in the community but I still stand up for it. For a few days some people hosted Pridefest. Pridefest is a festival for the LGBTQ community and the family and friends of the LGBTQ community personal. The event had food,games, company proposals, and hang out areas. People in the LGBTQ community should be treated better. Even tho some people make different decisions does not mean they are not human. They have their own life so they get to make their own decisions(Within reason). They should be able to make those decisions and not get beat up and hurt because they made those decisions. The LGBTQ is a large group of people changing the world!

It was time, August 21st 2017! A Total Solar Eclipse has started! At Tiffany Ridge Everyone ran onto the field! They Put on their glasses and started to look! But they could not see it! But then… "I SEE IT, THAT IS SO COOL!" Someone said! Then the sky turned dark! Totality had started! They took off their glasses… "CLOUDS!!!!" Nick said. In the interview Nick said, "Those clouds were just so Rude, They just had to Block Totality!" He was Mad, And so was everyone at Tiffany Ridge Elementary!
We need to stop the Violence in the world or we will just hate each other and keep have wars and then no one will live and there will only one person and this world will be depressing and that is not what we want so we have to stop this violence because we will all die no one wants that so that's why we should have no more violence.

I think it is unfair that people judge religions. That is because you need to know more about them. Like, judging the Islamic country. Some people harass them, like for their Hijabs. Or, they bully them for what they do in their religion. An article in Newsela says that in Cincinnati, Ohio, a driver tried to run down a young muslim woman. This is not fair. You have to know more about them. Most of all, the judging. Some muslims have stopped wearing Hijabs because people in other religions say unkind words about them, and so people don't recognize them. This shouldn't be happening. And not just for muslims. Every other religion in the world.

My opinion about football is padding is good for you won't break a bone especially a helmet because you won't get a concussion. One time I was playing flag football and a player about two feet bigger than me then he tackled me and put me on the ground. I was on the ground until it was time for me to go on the side. So if people wear padding they won't get hurt.

Violence is Never the Answer

I don’t like violence!! I think that everyone that has a problem with another country should have a talk about why you are having that problem. Here are some countries that are having differences, India, Syria, Iran, Libya, Yemen, Sudan, and Somalia. For instance, Iran and Pakistan are having a war. Another example is, World War Two. When you fight it will lead to even bigger problems. So remember, Violence is never the answer to war.
Inequality is a big topic at schools and across the world these days. Many protests have been going on, such as taking a knee at the NFL games at the national anthem, and many people have been worried about current president Donald Trump building the border wall, and people have been worried about ISIS, and other terrorists. People have started making fun of others because of race or skin tone, and I think we need to stop it, even if we mean it as a joke.

This year at Tiffany Ridge Elementary we got to see the Solar Eclipse. It was amazing seeing how it got dark like that so fast. We didn't get to see what happens when it went got completely black because of the clouds but it's ok. When the next solar eclipse comes I will be 18 and the full totality will be in Texas. The most favorite part of the Jazz museum Was when we got to learn about 3 of the famous Jazz players.
The 5th grade musical
It was 6:15 we were all hanging out in are classrooms just waiting for the musical to start.There was so many feelings in the air, some people were excited while others were nervous & scared.Families & friends were waiting for it to start.There was also a lot of people that dressed up.Then finally we started walking I was so nervous but happy at the same time,because I have stage fright. As soon as you know it were on the stage waiting,talking. Then we start the lights in the audience go off. We start to sing then it was over "that wasn't so bad" I said.
Spirit week is a big thing at our school. It is a chance were all the students can dress up fun and crazy. Monday was wear your favorite sports team, where you can wear jerseys and tshirts . Tuesday was crazy hair day, were we can go crazy with your hair. Wednesday was wear your miched matched clothes, that is where you can wear miched matched clothes. Thursday was hats off to Tiffany Ridge, where you can wear you favorite hat. That is our fun spirit week.

This is not just my teacher she is like family to me. She is the one teacher who ever time sighs. Also knows to leave me alone when I need spaces. And gives me a fidget when I need one. Helps us make plans for success. One more is when she sees us working hard she doesn't stop us and that is a good teacher no I take it back she is one of the best

On the field trip I saw a lot of cool stuff but the two things I liked the most was the baseball field because they made it to look like there was real people there and they were playing baseball. The second thing was the uniforms that the baseball players wore back when people were still segregated and it took you through time. I also saw a statue that said Bird Lives it was very fascinating and it was a sculpture of a man who loved jazz music.
I learned a lot about jazz and Negro baseball league. And that was you should always keep fighting for what's right and don’t give up no matter what people call you or say about you and that no matter what color you are people are all equal. I think people should come to that museum to learn all about jazz and baseball. And that baseball and jazz can be very interesting when you take the time to learn about them. Some other stuff that were at the museum was old baseball bats and jazz musicians and stuff about them like Charlie Parker had played his music with other jazz artist like Bud,Charles,Max,and Dizzy or that Louis Armstrong was on protest on segregated school in Arkansas in 1957. Or that Joe pass made a drawing of Ella Fitzgerald. It was a fun field trip and I want to go their again.

Wow can you believe it! Do you know how much food everyone wastes in the cafeteria these days? About 9 out of 10 students waste food everyday at lunch. Either they goof around with it like monkeys and sloths or they take too much and they just think they can eat it but they end up saying i am full with about half of their food still on their plates. If we could take every piece of food that they didn't bite in Nobody in the world would die because of hunger.Wow can you believe that. No you can't yeah i couldn't either.Well i hope you reading this article made you change your mind about wasting food.

Clubs in Tiffany Ridge
In Tiffany Ridge there are many clubs for students to choose from like Student Council. Student Council, also known as StuCo , give the students and teachers what they want.(within reason).They also help Emerging Leaders run the quarterly assemblies. They also help out the custodians by taking out the recycling every thursday morning at their weekly meetings. Emerging leader is a lot like Student Council because on friday afternoons they spend their after school time working together to prepare for the next assembly and helping the school in general. This club is run by Mrs.Child's daughter, Abby. Both of those clubs are provided to 5th grades and Student Council is also open to 4th graders. There are many other clubs for all the grades like mad science, or art club. The school is thinking about adding more clubs to the mix for future students
